Network Engineer (Sr. Level)
Principle Network Engineer - PERM - Salary to $110K++
Plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP).
Management, and maintenance of global LAN/WAN, Wireless and voice networks.
Evaluates technical and business requirements to the use of tools and technologies within the environment.
Maintains expert support knowledge and skills for complex troubleshooting.
Provides assessment and fulfillment of network support service requests including requests for network information, documentation, reports, implementations, modifications and decommissioning of network infrastructure.
Responsible for:
Network design
Network Operations and management
Network monitoring
Wireless & Cellular technologies
Diagnostics, troubleshooting and case load management
Network deployment and project management
Network documentation and reporting
Research and evaluation of emerging network technology
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Provide leadership role for the work group through knowledge of skills and area of specialization
Required Experience
In-depth knowledge of data networking principals and best practices
Ability to demonstrate LAN and WAN design experience
Experience with Network Access Solutions - NAC
Advanced diagnostic, problem solving and troubleshooting ability
Knowledge of Network Security and best practices
Experience monitoring and managing corporate LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades, enhancements and replacements.
Bachelors degree preferred in computer science or information technology
8-10 years IT network experience to include hands on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, remote access, network security and wireless gear
Prior experience with routers, switches, cabling, racks, TCP/IP, MPLS, VoIP
Prior experience with Checkpoint firewalls and Juniper remote access appliances desired
Prior experience with NAC solutions, ForeScout desirable
Cisco certification highly desirable (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
