Job Description:
Our Direct client is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer with Program Management expertise who thrives in a dynamic innovative work environment. Under the direction of the Vice President of Research & Development, staff members holding this
position
:
Perform RF/microwave device, circuit, and/or system design; photonic device and/or system design; antenna design; analog and digital signal processing hardware and software design; design and modeling of systems for RF/microwave communications, sensing (including radar) or EW
Communicate directly with sponsors or customers and manage programs to their technical requirements, budget and schedule constraints
Interact with company personnel at all levels, as well as with consultants and subcontractors, to effectively manage these resources in the performance of R&D and/or product development efforts
Work in a matrix management model, wherein all project managers have a shared set of staffing and laboratory resources rather than a dedicated set of resources
React quickly to the changing needs of a small company and its customers
Effectively communicate status and issues to senior management.
Key Qualifications
US citizenship
Master's Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or Physics
Fifteen or more years of experience in design and implementation of solutions in any or all of the following areas: RF/microwave systems, photonic devices and/or systems, antenna design, analog and digital signal processing
Ten or more years of experience managing R&D and/or product development projects of high technical complexity that include multiple staff, consultant and subcontractor resources for extended periods of time
Experience with
computer
modeling software (e.g., MATLAB) and computer aided design (CAD) software packages
Effective written and verbal communications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to multitask, effectively manage time, prioritize workload and work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines
Current or past DoD security clearance a plus
