Buyer/Planner

The primary purpose of this job is to function as a liason between the company's Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving departments. It is a focal point among all departments to effectively communicate and help meet project requirements through a careful review of capacity and scheduling of jobs

Description


  • Purchase products for demand and stock from assigned suppliers
  • Plan and Pipeline inventory for low to medium complex products
  • Proactively expedite backlog
  • Identify and update changes to the supplier open order reports
  • Performs basic purchase order add and maintenance functions
  • Perform stock rotations as defined in the supplier authorization agreements

Profile


  • 4 year degree in business operations management or related technical field (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written
  • The ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • The ability to manage large amounts of transactions on a daily basis
  • Detail oriented, collaborative, highly organized with ability to multi-task

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
