We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Permanent Manufacturing Accounting Manager in our fast-paced manufacturing environmentThis is a critical role that will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and proceduresThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, with a deep understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS), general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processes, and bill of materials (BOM).
Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Accounting Manager, you will:
1Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2Manage and oversee all facets of our manufacturing accounting functions, including COGS, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes.
3Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and annual reports, in a timely manner.
4Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
6Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
7Support month-end and year-end close processes.
8Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9Work closely with manufacturing personnel to understand and ensure accurate and timely recording of all costs.
10Analyze manufacturing operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Manufacturing Accounting Manager position, you must possess the following:
1A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldA CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
2A minimum of 3 years of proven working experience as a Manufacturing Accounting Manager, or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including COGS, general ledger functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close processes.
4Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
5Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
7Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
8Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with various departments.
9Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
